Honest Amish Beard Balm Review - Is It Worth It?

Honest Amish Beard Balm Review - Is It Worth It?

In today's article we are going to be doing a Honest Amish Beard Balm Review.

If you have a beard and you haven't heard of the Honest Amish Brand

let me ask you this question...

Where have you been hiding!?

When it comes to quality beard products, Honest Amish have made themselves one the biggest brands in the beard care industry.

Now that's out the way...Let's begin with this Honest Amish Beard Balm Review.

When it comes to Beard Balms, the ingredients are what you need to look at. There are many beard balms on the market which contain poor quality ingredients, this of course leads to a rubbish product that you want to avoid.

No bearded man should ever put poor quality products on their beard or skin. Therefore, the ingredients are extremely important.

Let's take a look at the ingredients in this balm.

Honest Amish Beard Balm Ingredients

I'm happy to report that Honest Amish use only the best natural ingredients in their beard products, many of which are organic and this is the reason why Honest Amish are a big name in the beard care industry.

Although the Honest Amish beard balm recipe is not shown, I have compiled a list of some oils and other ingredients this beard balm does contain, all of which, are oils you should look for in a great beard balm.

Argan oil

Argan oil is very well known for its repairing and strengthening properties. Therefore, it is an oil you should look for in any beard balm, especially if you suffer from a damaged or wiry beard.

Apricot Kernel Oil

I know many bearded men who don't buy a beard balm unless it contains Apricot Kernel Oil. This particular oil contains many antioxidants which will help keep balance in your hair fibers by fighting off what's known as free-radicals, that can cause damage to your facial hair.

Avocado Oil

When it comes to your man mane, you want your facial hair to remain soft and look fuller, which is the benefit of Avocado Oil. It is also known for improving the blood flow to your skin that will help promote beard growth. It also helps to make your beard more healthy and strong.

Sweet Almond Oil

If you are someone who suffers from a wiry or coarse beard, then this oil will certainly benefit your beard. It promotes silkiness to your beard and adds a great shine to your beard. Therefore, making this oil important for anyone who suffers from a wiry beard.

Virgin Pumpkin Seed Oil

Now depending on the amount of times you wash your beard, this is a very important carrier oil to have in your balm. This is due to when you wash your beard often, you remove the natural oils from your hair fibers and the skin beneath your beard. So it is important to replace the natural oils to your facial hair and skin which is exactly what Virgin Pumpkin Seed oil does.

Other ingredients in Honest Amish Beard Balm are:

  • Grapeseed
  • Fruit and nut butter (including shea, aloe, cocoa butter )
  • Added hair enhancing oils (essential)

One ingredient which is used in many beard balms is called Petroleum, which tends to leave your beard oily, so you will want to avoid that ingredient.

Thankfully, Honest Amish don't use this ingredient in their beard balms.

So as you can tell from the Honest Amish Beard Balm Ingredients, they only use high quality ingredients that help promote a healthier and stronger beard.

Honest Amish Beard Balm Scent

The scent in a beard care product is important for me as I wear cologne every day and I don't want to use a beard care product that mixes or over-whelms my cologne.

To my enjoyment and yours, the scent in this beard balm is perfect.

The Honest Amish Beard Balm Scent is considered mild compared too many other balms.

I am not a lover of musky scents and luckily the Honest Amish beard balm scent is more on the sweet/woodsy side than musky.

Honest Amish Beard Balm Benefits:

There is nothing worse that a dull non-shiny beard, I think we can all agree on that right?

It's no secret that a little bit of a natural shine to your beard, makes it look healthy, even if it isn't.

The shine that this Beard Balm gives is great and thankfully without that oily look or feel.

I found that the shine lasted for most of the day, which is pretty good compared to other balms that we have reviewed.

I also liked that this balm didn't leave my beard feeling greasy, as there is nothing worse than touching your beard and feeling like you've dipped your hand in a deep-fryer.

In terms of the moisturizing properties of this beard balm, I found them to be excellent.

This beard balm contains a whole bunch of all-natural moisturizing ingredients which supplied awesome hydration to my beard and skin.

When I used this product, I wasn't suffering from any skin irritations, but I am sure that this beard balm would certainly help, given the moisturizing properties and ingredients used in this balm

I don't have the thickest beard in the world, although it's not considered patchy either. I did find that this balm made my beard look a lot fuller. I put that down to the fast absorbing ingredients found in this balm.

In terms of hold, it didn't disappoint. Although not the best hold I have experienced with a beard balm, it certainly did a good job and lasted for most of the day.

How Does It Work?

As I have mentioned prior, this beard balm contains many great carrier oils that  are full of vitamins and minerals, which promote a healthy beard but it also contains beeswax and butters which helps keep the oils in your beard for longer, helping your beard absorb the goodness from the carrier oils.

Now of course, you may be thinking...beard oils do the same and you would be forgiven for thinking that...

But the truth is, they are not.

Beard oil is actually designed for the skin beneath your beard, whereas beard balm is designed for the skin and your facial whiskers.

The Final Results...

You will certainly see the results after using Honest Amish Beard Balm

If you are someone who suffers from a beard that isn't healthy or it is slow-growing, then you could see some good results in overall beard and skin health, plus an increase in beard growth over time due to the particular ingredients Honest Amish beard balm contains.

This balm provides your beard will great conditioning properties and leaves your beard will a healthy shine. If you suffer from a patchy beard, then this balm could help make it look a little fuller and thicker.

Due to the great all-natural butters and carrier oils, this balm will provide many nutrients that are beneficial to promoting healthy skin and facial hair. Over time this balm will soften your beard hairs and the skin underneath your beard. Perfect if you suffer from a dry, coarse, unruly beard.

How to Apply Beard Balm

When using a beard, it is important not to use too much product at once.

If you over use any beard care product it will make your beard look and feel greasy and oily.

I suggest that you apply this balm after you've had a shower, towel dry your beard until it's slightly damp and no longer consider "wet".

Use only a small amount of balm, the size of your fingernail, and rub it between your palms, the aim is to melt the balm which as this will make it easier to spread throughout your beard.

Once the balm is melted, rub it in your beard.

It is important to go skin deep in your beard as the ingredients are good for your skin, just like your beard.

If your skin is healthy under your beard, your skin will produce and promote a healthy beard.

After you have spread the balm throughout your beard, take a boar's brush and brush your beard to make sure the balm is spread evenly throughout your beard.

I personally only apply balm once a day, usually in the morning after my shower.

This balm lasts a very long time. However, if you need to give your beard a little touch up later on, then you can.

Personally I think Honest Amish Beard Balm is a great product and one of the best balms I have used.

I thought the scent was on point. It was a nice scent and just about right. It wasn't overwhelming nor did it interfere with my cologne.

The beard balm spreads well and you don't need to use a lot, just a fingernails worth. There was no oily feel or look to my beard.

The product is easily removed from my hands. There is nothing worse than spending hours trying to remove a product from your hands.

Okay, maybe hours is a little extreme, but you know what I mean.

I feel the shine was also on point. No greasy look, just leaves your beard looking and feeling hydrated and healthy.

All in all, a fantastic product and one I highly recommend any bearded brother try and add to their beard care kits.

I hope you enjoyed this Honest Amish Beard Balm Review and you was able to take value from it.
