We applaud you!
When you take your beard to the next level, it is important to see some inspiration as we all like different beard styles and you may find a style you hadn't given much thought too.
It is no secret, the best beard styles are dapper and iconic looking.
But what goes into growing and maintaining such a beard style?
The answer to that question is...a proper beard care routine.

Beard care is a crucial component of personal grooming, regardless of whether you're just starting to grow facial hair or are currently the proud owner of a full beard. Take a look at the following advice to keep your beard healthy and well-groomed.

Commit And Be Patient

Beard maintenance goes beyond simple shampooing and brushing since beard growth takes time. Maintaining your general health is the first step in caring for your beard.

You should: in order to grow a healthy beard:

  • Get plenty of rest.
  • Avoid using tobacco, alcohol, caffeine, and other harmful substances.
  • Consume a nutritious, well-balanced diet that includes all the vitamins and minerals your body needs.
  • Think about consuming a vitamin supplement

Ingrown hairs can occur when your beard is still in the growing stage. To avoid ingrown hairs and maintain clear pores, exfoliate your skin multiple times every week. This creates a solid base for beard development.

Use The Right Beard Care Products

Do you use products that are specifically designed for your head hair or skin? You most likely do, your beard is no different. You will need to use the right tools and products that'll give you the best chance of growing a great, healthy looking beard.

You'll need the following products:

  • Clean face towel
  • A good exfoliating scrub
  • A good quality natural beard oil
  • A beard wash
  • Beard comb and/or brush

Cleanse Your Beard

Both your skin and your beard will respond well to a mild cleanser. Use a specialized shampoo if you need to treat any beard dandruff. It's crucial to wash your face and beard each day to get rid of:

  • Dirt
  • Bacteria
  • Excess oils
  • Dead skin cells

Use lukewarm water and a quality beard wash to cleanse your beard for optimal results. Massage your skin and beard with the beard wash after applying it. Let it sit on your skin/beard for a few minutes. Then be sure to properly rinse your beard well to get rid of any beard wash residue.

Choosing the Proper Beard Cleanser

Depending on your skin type, choose a beard cleaner. Caring for your beard begins with the appropriate products. Look for a face cleanser with salicylic acid or glycolic acid as an active component if you have oily or acne-prone skin. Additionally, check the label to see if it says noncomedogenic, which indicates that the product won't clog your pores. ‌

Look for a moisturizing cleanser free of perfumes that could irritate your skin if you have dry skin. If you have sensitive skin, this is also crucial. To prevent skin irritation, look for labels that state the product is "fragrance-free."

Treat Any Beard Dandruff

It can be possible to get rid of beard dandruff. The most common reason for beard dandruff is seborrheic dermatitis. You might believe that bad hygiene is to blame for beard dandruff, but this is not always the case. ‌

Your beard traps bacteria and fungi as it covers your skin. For instance, a yeast called malassezia might occasionally overgrow. Your skin becomes irritated, flaky, and scaly as a result of your body battling the yeast.

Products with at least 1% of the active component ketoconazole may be able to reduce beard dandruff symptoms. ‌

An antifungal drug called ketoconazole protects and kills yeast and fungi. At your local pharmacy, some forms are sold over the counter. A prescription from your physician or dermatologist could be required for other kinds.

Beard dandruff could also be caused by dry skin beneath your beard, therefore the best form of treatment would be keeping the skin well hydrated by using a good all-natural beard oil.

Soften Your Beard

Like you would a shampoo or cleanser, pick a moisturizer for your beard: A beard conditioner may be most effective if you have acne-prone skin. Try a beard oil for regular or dry skin. Use a fragrance-free, noncomedogenic moisturizer if your skin is sensitive.

Apply your beard oil right after washing your beard and gently patting your beard dry with a towel. Applying beard oil while your skin and beard are still damp is recommended. To avoid buildup or the appearance of greasiness, use the product sparingly, 2-3 drops at one time.

Groom Your Facial Hair

Take care of your beard to avoid tangles and knots, brush or comb your beard every day. To get the look you want, trim your hair as necessary.
