When You Sleep, What Happens To Your Body?

An average person need approximately 8 hours of sleep per night.

Did you know that human beings are the only mammals on the planet who cannot live without adequate sleep.

During sleep, your body repairs muscle and organ function, and substances that enhance your immune system flow in your bloodstream.
We don’t move and don’t stay hydrated when sleeping, so we become dehydrated and our muscles and joints stiffen.

And we need to handle these two adverse effects — dehydration and stiffness – as soon as we wake up.

When you first get up after sleep, the first 30 minutes are crucial.

During this time, the following activities should be avoided:

  • Using any type of electronic equipment, such as a cell phone, a laptop, or a computer
  • looking over work emails.
  • Getting ready for work
  • Keep away from noise and distractions.
  • Coffee or any other stimulant
  • Any activity that stimulates you in the first 30 minutes is not a good choice because it will just generate morning stress and anxiety, which will naturally lead to a horrible day.

So, in the first 30 minutes after waking up, what should you do?

If you want to start your day off to the greatest possible start, consider these simple yet powerful methods.

Setting yourself up for a great and productive day begins the moment you get up, so pay attention to this time!

Drink Plenty Of Water

When you wake up, your body is dehydrated.

Consider that for a moment.

You’ve been sleeping for about 8 hours and haven’t had any liquids, so you’re in desperate need of some!

As soon as I wake up, I drink roughly 1 Litre (2 pints) of water. This is sufficient to rehydrate me and to stimulate our digestive systems.

Water can also aid weight loss if consumed first thing in the morning. So get that water in there as quickly as possible!

Perform Breathing Exercises

In general, concentrated meditation breathing exercises during the first 10 minutes has been shown to be immensely beneficial, and so many people believe that this is a terrific way to start the day off well.

Get comfy in a seated position to try the instructions below.

For beginners, focusing on your inhale and exhale breath via your nose is the ideal type of meditation.

Feel air entering and exiting your nose and lungs.
Perform this technique thirty times, then repeat it again a minute later, focusing all of your energy and focus on your breathing.

Perform Stretching Exercises

You can use a yoga mat for these stretches if you have one; otherwise, a towel will work.

The downward dog to cobra pose is a fantastic morning stretching exercise to execute for around 5 minutes. I’ve incorporated this basic yoga position and technique into my typical morning routine.

This stretch awakens your glutes, hamstrings, and lower back muscles, which were dormant during the night.

This exercise should be utilized to work all of the muscles in your lower and upper body, and when paired with simple breathing methods, it will get your heart rate up and running!

A DREADED Cold Shower

Having a one-minute cold shower first thing in the morning can help you wake up properly by getting your blood flowing.

However, I understand that most people believe this one is nearly impossible because it is not particularly comfortable.

But there are numerous advantages, and you’ll feel wonderful if you get into the habit of taking a cold shower first thing every morning!

The following are some of the advantages of taking daily cold showers:

  • Enhances the immune system
  • Reduces stress and improves circulation
  • Helps you lose weight.
  • Drainage of the lymphatic system

Since introducing regular cold showers into my routine, I have noticed significant improvements in my immune system and have not experienced any illness!

For me, it has been a real game changer!

Morning Bodyweight Workout

Getting your workout in first thing in the morning is the most beneficial time of the day.

We believe in completing bodyweight workouts that take no longer than 30 minutes.

As we’ve indicated in prior postings, we’ve developed our own bodyweight workouts that are challenging, portable, and require no equipment.

If you’re looking for a 6-week bodyweight training regimen that will help you improve your fitness and strength…
